Well, on my end, it’s one of those afternoons Lagos can’t quite make up its mind about. The sky’s frowning, pretending it might rain. A keke sputters past like it’s late for an audition. Somewhere, someone is frying plantain like they’re feeding the whole street. And over it all, a generator clears its throat like an old man telling you to take life easy.

That’s the scene. A little noise, a little heat, a little hope, all doing their best to coexist.

And somehow, right in the middle of it, I’m here. Tea in hand. Countless tabs open. Listening to this city hum its usual sound of chaos and persistence. But there’s something about today. Feels like the start of something delicious. Like the first sip before a good story decides to tell itself. Probably because I get to tell you everything that’s been happening with us.
